I have been working on a prayer shawl for a very prominant member of our church and community who recently was widowed.
I spent so much time picking out the perfect yarn for it, longer than it will take me to make it!
It's so difficult when you are making something for someone as special as this person is. I thought about white/ivory and started one in it but changed my mind because it was boring me. If I couldn't receive joy while knitting it how could this person? I decided on the Homespun- Tudor colorway. It's lovely and I think it will be appreciated by the recipient. I was told that my indecision added to the value of the shawl as it showed compassion for the recipient. I truly hope so. I'll post photos as I go, I've only got 3 inches so far!
Anyone else with decision problems with yarn for prayer shawls?

Actually, I have the opposite problem. I find the yarn I love, but never know who I'm making them for. I just start them and trust that the Lord will tell me who this one is for.
