The Clappy Bug bit me! I am making my first Clapotis. I usually find a way to ruin the first of anything I try so I chose a yarn I had. I'm not splurging on Lorna's Laces...yet! It's a discontinued DK acrylic yarn from England, "Fascination" by Robin. I had some in the blue colorway and saw the autumn colorway and had to have it! So I named my Clap the Autumn Clapotis. It deserves a name, right?
I've found I like this pattern. It looked so intimidating to me when I first read it. I saw other peoples Claps in progress and the numerous stitch markers really scared me away for a while. I must say that it is really easy. I love dropping the stitches. I've only made one big mistake so far and that was forgetting a yo. It's at the end of the dropped stitch. I haven't dropped it yet but I hope it doesn't matter. My stitch count is correct. There are other mistakes in there, my stitch markers somehow jump from their position to one after or before, so I've got some scattered ktbl's. (Maybe I have an Evil Knitting Gnome in my home!)
I try to knit daily but I don't always have the time. I'm actually much farther along than the photos show. I'll post more later. If someone is acutally reading this and has knit a Clap, do you know if my forgetting a yo will have any effect on the dropped stitch?
